Off-line to Running Machinery Movement Surveys
Field measurements are taken to determine how your rotating machinery is moving from off-line to running conditions. A wide variety of different methods may be employed for these measurements which include ... machine casing surface temperature measurements with coefficients of thermal expansion, inside micrometer / tooling ball, optical, alignment bars with proximity probes, water cooled stands with proximity probes, lasers with plug in - back zeroing targets and mounts, ball-rod-tubing connector system, and/or vernier-strobe method. Final report shows method(s) employed, measurements recorded, desired off-line shaft positions, and recommended future action if required.
